WRNT is looking for your best recipe...for two- or four-legged critters!
What about that touching story of a Rescued dog - the one that always makes you cry?
Or maybe it's that picture of your favorite pooch that warms your heart.
WRNT will offer a $50 prize for the Best Human Recipe, Best Doggie Recipe, Best Rescue/Dog Story and Best Dog Picture. The winner in each category will also receive a free copy of the 2006-2007 WRNT Cookbook, and the recognition and admiration of Westies throughout the Metroplex!
The rules are simple: Send your recipe, picture or story (or all three!) to COOKBOOK@WRNT.ORG. Don't forget to include your name, home phone and mailing address....so we can send your winning check and cookbook! Just so we don't make any mistakes, be sure to tell us whether your recipe is for people or pups.
We don't currently have an end date for the competition, as it all really depends on how many recipes, pictures and stories we receive. Once we have enough entries for a 200+/- page book, we'll announce a cutoff date and the judging will commence shortly thereafter. The judges will try the winning recipes, probably laugh and cry over the winning stories and fawn all over the winning pictures. We hope to have the Cookbook on sale by the first of 2007.
Tell your friends. Tell your family. Tell your dogs they will be famous! It's for a good cause and you can be immortalized in kitchens all over Texas.
The fine print: All submissions become the property of WRNT. Please submit only those works for which you are the legal owner - no commercial photography or copyrighted stories or recipes. The decision of the judges is final. Winners will be posted on the WRNT website after the judging has been completed. You may only win in one category, but may submit in all of them.
