Description:
Maggie is a 2 year old spayed female full of life
and energy. Maggie is partially housebroken, very smart, and is eager to
please that special someone who will have patience with her and show her
a lot of love and attention! She
knows the commands sit and stay and loves to stand on her hind legs when
you go for the treat jar!
Maggie came into our program because her former
family could not spend enough time with her and they realized she needed
a home where she could be the center of love and get the attention she
so deserves.
Maggie is on medication for a staph infection,
which has caused her to lose some hair around her face and on her chest.
She will require some very special attention for the next thirty days
while she completes her medication and goes through the regiment of
taking baths every 3 days with a special shampoo. Not to worry though!
Maggie is very good when you give her a bath and she feels and looks
like a million dollars afterwards!!
After being on her medication and her bath routine
for only a few days, she already shows great improvement in her skin.
With the proper care, a good diet, and lots of love and attention,
Maggie’s skin issues will be back to normal in no time!
Maggie gets along well with other dogs. Maggie
sleeps in a crate at night, but would sure love to find that special
home to snuggle up next to you in your bed! Can you find a place in your
heart to give this little girl lots of love and attention?
UPDATE: Maggie
found her Forever Family. They fell in love with her from the moment
they met her. When Maggie and her foster mom did a meet/greet visit,
Maggie acted like she had been part of their home forever. Here is what
her new parents have to say after having Maggie for just a couple of
days:
"Everything is
going great with Maggie. She just got done with her bath tonight
and she was an angel. We let her sleep with us the first two
nights which she loved. We bought a cage today for when no one is
home, 'cause we've found that she still has enough puppy to get into
stuff and "accidentally" chew them up. We bought some
new toys and it took her less than five minutes to tear apart a little
tennis ball! We're having so much fun with her and I think she
already feels at home. We are enjoying her so much and remembering
what it's like to have a fun puppy again. Thanks for bringing Maggie
into our lives!”

UPDATE: Maggie's
new family has sent us a picture. As her Foster Mom put it,
"The picture is sooooooo perfect, it looks like Maggie is a model
posing for a shoot!"
